PARTICIPATION AND PRESENTATION OF PAPERS IN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES

  1. Presented a paper titled “Multi-Dimensional Approach to Teaching and Learning: Some Reflections on Teaching Creatively” at “Development Perspectives of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Contemporary World”, a Two- Day International Conference, organized by KSOU on the 2 nd and 3 rd of March 2024.
  2. Presented a paper titled Connect, Inspire and Empower: Strengthening the Fundamentals of English Grammar of the Differently-Abled at the 17 th International and 53 rd Annual English Language Teachers’ Association of India. English for Global Citizenship: Multiple Teaching Acts and Learning Experiences, Conference held between 11 th and 14 th October, 2023, at Dehradun. was hosted by School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. Uttarakhand. Academic partners were Cambridge University Press and Assessment, and supported by British Council, and Karadi Path
  3. Presented a Paper, titled “Teaching English to First Generation Rural and Urban- Based Learners: Experiences and Experiments” at The 16th International and 52nd Annual Conference of English Language Teachers Association of India, ELTAI organized between December 8, 2022 – December 10, 2022 at CKT College, New Panvel (W), Navi Mumbai, India. This was in connection with Indian ELT Imitative or Generative?
  4. Presented a Paper, titled “Teaching English Creatively to Forest Dwelling Tribal Children” at the Golden Jubilee and 14 the International Annual Conference of English Language Teachers Association of India, organized between 9-12, October, 2019, in collaboration with Amity University,Noida, UP; and with the support of British Council, Regional English Office,U.S. Embassy, India and Cambridge University Press.
  5. Presented a Paper titled “Neuro-Psychiatric Disorders on Stage: How Theatre Educates” at Healthy Brain, an International Conference, organized jointly by JSS Academy for Higher Education and Research and Society for Neurochemistry India (SNCI)), on 14.3.2019.

  6. Presented a Paper, titled “Teaching English Creatively to Children in the Margins: The Children’s Literary Club Way” at the International Seminar organized by Dibrugarh University, Assam. “Art and Culture: Change and Continuity”, the Seminar sponsored  by ICCR, SNA and DU  was organized on 4th and 5th of March, 2019.

  7. Presented a Paper, titled “Dissenters in the Select Plays of Kuvempu” at the XV International Conference of Indian Society for Theater Research (The Indian Chapter of International Federation for Theater Research). Discourses of Dissent: Exploring the Paradigms, an International Conference was held from 7.2.2019 to 9.2.2019. The Conference was organized by the School of Media & Communication, Manipal University Jaipur.

  8. Participated in a 2 Day International Seminar on Relevance of Performing and Visual Arts in Contemporary Society: A Perspective, organized on the 5th and 6th of January, 2019, by the Department of Dance of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat, in association with UGC and presented a Paper titled “Towards Capacity Building: Some Reflections on the Role of Educational Theatre”. Acted a scene from the Play “Stage Chemistry: Neuro-Psychiatric Disorders on Stage” by way of demonstration.

  9. 3 Day XIV International Conference of Indian Society for Theater Research at the Department of Performing Arts (Film and Theatre), Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha, Maharashtra, on Protest to Perform or Perform to Protest: Performances of the World, 15-17 January 2018. Presented a paper titled “Protest Theatre: Reflections on Select Kannada Plays” and Chaired Sessions titled “Protest in Performance: New Forms, New Styles and Grammar” and “Protesting Narratives of Marginality, Colonialism and Power Politics” and presented a Mono-Acting Piece to do with Protest.

  10. 2 Day International Conference on “English Language, Literature & Communication: Innovations and Applications in the Teaching – Learning Scenario” (ELLCIATLS-2017) Organized by The School of Humanities at K.R. Mangalam University on 3rd and 4th of February 2017. Presented a paper titled “Reading Kannada Critical Works on Shakespeare to Enhance Understanding and Appreciation”

One Day International Conference on “Theatre and other Performing Arts: Aesthetics, Polity, Economy, History and Space” organized by Bangalore University Department of Performing Arts in connection with the University’s Golden Jubilee Year of Celebrations and World Theatre Day on 30.3.2016. Presented a Paper titled “Teaching English Language Skills through English Theatre for the Underprivileged Students of Bharathi Stree Samaj, Mysuru: Challenges and Possibilities”.

  15. 2 Day “International Conference on Shakespeare and Kuvempu” organized by Sree Adichunchungiri Samstana Mutt on the 24th and 25th of April 2015 at Adichunchungiri Mutt. The Conference was to do with the 450th Birth Anniversary Year of William Shakespeare. Presented a special Cultural event titled “In Search of Shakespeare and Kuvempu”. Did Concept Designing, Script Writing and played 8 roles.

  2. Presented a paper titled “Creativity and Karnataka’s Transgender Community: Experiences, Challenges and Hopes” at the 3-day, National Seminar organized by Indian Sociological Society, New Delhi, and Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore from 28 th to 30 th December, 2023, held in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. This was in connection with the National Seminar on “The Crises of the 21 st Century and the Way Forward”


  3. Presented paper Online, titled Space for Inclusion, Diversity, and Creativity in National Education Policy 2020: A Change Catalyst for the Transgender Community at the 2-day, Mid Term National Seminar of RC-!0, Indian Sociological Society and DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh on 16th and 17th of November 2023. This is in connection with the National Seminar on Empowering Women in Higher Education: Examining the Efficacy of National Education Policy-2020

  7. Presented a Paper titled “‘We Care for Environment that is Ours, Hence We Act’: Performance by Women of Action”, at the 45th All India Sociological Conference. Environment, Culture and Development: Discourses and Intersections, a National Conference held from 27.12.2019 to 29.12.2019 in Trivandrum. The Conference was organized by the Indian Sociological Society, and hosted by Kerala University, Trivandrum.

Reconstructing Sociological Discourse in India: Perspectives from the Margins, a National Conference, held from 27.12.2018 to 29.12.2018 in Mysuru; organized by the Indian Sociological Society, and St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous), Mysuru, and presented a paper titled presenting a Paper, titled “Women of Words and Colours: A Study of Gilman’s “The Yellow Wallpaper” and Nemichandra’s “Hosa Huttu”. Acted a part from the Play “Stage Chemistry: Neuro-Psychiatric Disorders on Stage” by way of demonstration.

  13. 3 Day 12th Kannada Vijnana Sammelana,  organized by Karnataka Science Congress, in collaboration with Karnataka Veterinary , Animal and Fisheries Sciences University in Bidar from 15th to 17th September 2016 and Presented a Paper in Kannada on “Cows: Ethnic, Literary and Scientific Dimensions”.  Gave a Mono-Acting Session in connection with the Cultural Evening.
  14. 3 Day X Karnataka Sociology Conference on “Development, State and Environment in Karnataka: Issues, Conflict and Concern”, organized by Karnataka Sociology Association and  the Department of Sociology, Maharaja’s College, University of Mysore, Mysuru on August 17,18 and 19, 2016, and presented a Paper titled “Means and Modes to Bridge the English Divide”. Gave a Mono-Acting Session in connection with the Cultural Evening.

  20. 2 Day 8th National Women’s Science Congress, held in Hebbal, Bengaluru on the 7th and 8th of November, 2015 and presented 2 Papers titled, “Father-Poets Pray for Their Daughters” and “The ‘Fallen Women’ in Shivaram Karanth’s Novels”. Gave a Mono-Acting Session in connection with the Cultural Evening.
